CILT history and international networkInternational Diploma on the CILT International website
When applying to a multinational company in Europe, America or another region, present your education clearly: the awarding organisation, qualification, subjects studied and assessment methods.
On your CV, you list International Diploma in Logistics and Transport, CILT, Level 5 and describe your skills in supply chain management, procurement and international business. At interview, support these with examples from your own work.
This is an example career scenario, not a story of guaranteed employment. Employers also assess experience, language skills, the right to work and the requirements of the role.
An international career requires a clear account of your education. When comparing programmes, look for information you can verify.
Check who developed the programme and which document you will receive. For L5, you can verify the qualification's name and content on the official CILT International website.
Compare the subjects and assessment with the role's responsibilities. Explain your supply chain, procurement and operations management capabilities through specific skills.
Review the examination and final project requirements. Where necessary, provide the employer with information about the programme and the document you received.
A practical comparison. When applying internationally, a certificate from a local or CIS training centre may require further explanation for a recruiter. CILT offers a publicly documented international qualification. The value of local programmes and acceptance of any diploma still depend on the programme itself and the employer.
